hands-on-plans is a small consultancy run by Alicia Wood. Alicia is a freelance consultant in housing and support for people with disabilities.
Alicia specialises in individual housing and support options by -

helping people and their families get the housing and support that is right for them
helping organisations that provide housing and support do so in ways that are flexible enough to meet individual needs
helping organisations that pay for housing and support expand choices

Alicia takes a practical approach to delivering real outcomes for people with disabilities. She has a vast knowledge of the alternatives to traditional housing and care options such as home ownership, family funded housing, support tenants and assistive technology and is able to work with individuals and organisations to deliver real solutions for people.

Alicia has worked with many people to help them get the housing and support they aspire to by taking a person centred and methodical approach to planning and delivering housing.
She has worked with PCT's, Housing Associations and providers of care and support to develop strategies and improve quality in housing and support services.

Alicia is an associate consultant with Paradigm, a leading learning disability consultancy and the Housing and Support Partnership, a housing and social care consultancy. She is also an advisor for Housing Options, a national housing advice service for people with learning disabilities, their families and supporters.
